Get to know Varad…
Varad has always been hyper-curious about history and change, exploring the interplay between technology and business to act as the catalyst.
Through his involvement at NextGen Ventures, Australia’s first student-run venture capital fund, he is passionate about growing the Australian startup ecosystem from its grassroots by empowering students to innovate, build and create startups.
At Rampersand, Varad loves supporting ambitious founders who achieve outsized impact by finding and solving problems. Varad loves sports outside of work and grew up playing cricket and footy. He has represented Victoria Metro, playing cricket in multiple tournaments.

Varad prides himself on staying calm, remaining unfazed and knuckling down when the going gets tough. Staying level-headed allows him to seek solutions and problem-solve. He believes in the mantra of resourcefulness is more important than resources.
“As a baby, Varad lived all across Europe, but unfortunately, of which he remembers nothing.”
