Goterra is revolutionising waste management with its decentralised, modular technology, turning food waste into high-value protein and fertiliser with insects and robotics.

Goterra is delivering fully circular outcomes on top of C02-e reductions of up to 97% compared to landfills. At the core of Goterra’s innovation are MIBS (Modular Infrastructure for Biological Services) and Frass. MIBS are autonomous, climate-climate insect farms utilising black soldier fly larvae to process organic waste at or near its source efficiently. This reduces waste transportation costs, minimises methane emissions, and produces valuable by-products that contribute to regenerative farming and food security, which is an essential point as we face a food production shortfall of 20%, as predicted by 2050. The by-products include insect protein, a high-value product for livestock feed, especially in aquaculture and poultry markets and pet feed. Frass is an organic fertiliser that promotes soil health and water solubility.

Unlike traditional waste management systems, Goterra’s approach is scalable, integrates into existing systems, and requires less infrastructure investment. It is ideal for businesses, councils, and food producers seeking to meet sustainability targets.

Goterra is at the forefront of integrating nature with automation, proving that waste is not an endpoint but a resource.

We love Goterra because:

The company is led by an accomplished, experienced team that has developed a product with a clear market advantage through unique waste management technology. Goterra’s unique IP marks a change in waste management and a solution to growing infrastructure challenges. Jurisdictions worldwide recognise the cost of organic waste and impose penalties and financial incentives for management, with Goterra one of the few capable providers.
