Independent restaurants run on whiteboards, clipboards and vibes. It's the original small-margin, high-complexity business, and almost nothing in the stack respects how much happens in a single shift. Margins sit around five percent, so every unseen inefficiency comes straight off the top.
Assaf Stizki spent close to 20 years inside kitchens, building catering businesses, burger chains and venues, before he and CTO Ken Brand started building for restaurants from the inside out. When we met them, they were already replacing paper systems in dozens of venues. That kind of earned conviction is what a seed pitch ought to look like.
We led the seed and have followed on since. Restoke now runs across five countries and is winning the multi-venue groups that used to run on spreadsheets. The bet was never just better software for restaurants. It was the system every restaurant ends up running on.
Rampersand led Restoke's A$5.1M seed to take its restaurant operating system international.
Restoke launched in the US, with enterprise venues already live.
Andrew led Restoke's seed for Rampersand and works with Assaf and Ken on GTM, pricing and international expansion.
